The 20th July was the start of the FAI Summer Soccer Schools Camp with Donacarney’s facilities at Castlemartin being host grounds for the week.
The FAI Summer Soccer Schools Camp provides boys and girls aged between 6 and 13 with an action packed and fun filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Soccer. Activities in the morning are team based games and were organised in an age appropriate manner with a view to optimising learning, enhancing friendships, and most importantly having fun.
The afternoon then seen a series of small sided games which gave the children opportunity to put into practice what they had learnt and the kids really enjoyed this. The day finished off with the famous penalty shoot outs which the kids loved and provided such excitement each day.
We would like to thank all the coaches and camp co-ordinators for all their hard work in what was an excellent week of soccer for the kids and we were delighted with the positive feedback the club received from hosting this our 1st FAI camp.
